When should you write to your future self?

A future-self letter turns a moment into a record you can return to. You do not need a life plan. A useful letter notices where you are, describes one thing you want to remember, and leaves room for change.

In one month

A short note about what matters this week, what you might try, and what can wait.

In one year

Describe what a good year would mean without pretending you can predict it.

At a transition

Record the small details before a move, new school year, new role or different season.
