How the subscription cost calculation works

Multiply the price by the number of billing periods in a typical year: weekly × 52, every two weeks × 26, monthly × 12, quarterly × 4, every six months × 2, or yearly × 1. Divide that annual estimate by 12 for a monthly average.

Example: CAD 12 per month is an estimated CAD 144 per year. CAD 5 per week is about CAD 260 per year, or CAD 21.67 per month. A low weekly price can cost more than it first appears.

These are annualized estimates, not a forecast of exact charge dates. Weekly and fortnightly billing can produce an extra charge in some calendar years. Taxes, exchange rates, introductory offers, refunds and future price changes are not added. Enter the tax-inclusive recurring price if that is what you want compared.

Put the review before the deadline

If renewal is 20 November and you choose seven days, the review date is 13 November. Read the provider's cancellation terms and allow enough time to act. A calendar event does not change your contract or prove cancellation.

Questions before you use the tool

Will this access my subscriptions or bank?

No. You type one price and date. The tool code calculates in this page and does not send or store those entries. Normal hosting services may process page visits.

Does the calendar download create an alert automatically?

No. It downloads an ICS file with an all-day event. Open or import it in your calendar and choose the alert you want. Check the imported date. Importing the file more than once may create duplicates.

Can I combine different currencies?

No. Review each subscription in its own currency. The tool does not perform currency conversion or total unrelated currencies.

Can I use the review card without installing an app?

Yes. The calculator, calendar download and printable card are free to use here. The companion app is optional.
